Burning of the bonfire: It is a tradition in Punjab to celebrate the festival of Lohri. They collect the wood from their nearby places. And after that, they burn it. After the burning of the bonfire, the crops which are harvested are fed into it. People collect near the bonfire and pray to God for their good harvesting of crops and also pray for good crops in the future.

Ritual of Lohri: The ritual in Punjab for the function of Lohri is that children go door to door of people and sing the Lohri songs and people give them many dishes blessings and money etc. The famous Lohri song that is sung by many children is ‘Sunder Munderiye hoye’ . At present time, the festival of Lohri is celebrated with the same rituals, With the same enjoyment and joy. They exchanged their dishes and pray to God for a good future collectively.
